The ambitious project Industrie 4.0 aims for nothing less than a "fourth industrial revolution", or more concretely, a stronger computerization of the classical industries, for instance production and automation. It is strongly related to the notion of the Industrial Internet. In the colloquium "A new security culture for Industry 4.0", experts from Engineering, Informatics, Law and Politics give insight into a topic currently highly debated in the German press called "Industrie 4.0" (Industry 4.0).
Five papers in cooperation with cyber security researchers from Darmstadt have been accepted at the top security conference USENIX Security 2014. According to Microsoft Academic Search the USENIX Security is ranked top 5 worldwide regarding security & privacy.
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft(DFG) is awarding the Heinz Maier Leibnitz Prize 2014 to Professor Dr. Eric Bodden (33). DFG is honoring the computer scientist’s exceptional scientific achievements in the secure software development field.
Dr. Haya Shulman, PostDoc at EC-SPRIDE (European Center for Security and Privacy by Design) of TU Darmstadt has won first prize at the Research Award of Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. The award includes prize money of 80,000 Israeli New Shekels, i.e. more than 15,000 Euro.
