Cooperation in the areas of training, research, development and marketing

As a result of the synergies provided via the close research and development cooperation, the Cluster will achieve an innovation leap in the area of business software. In addition to “embedded software”, business software is the most important pillar of the German ICT industry. The Cluster will sustainably strengthen Germany’s position as one of the world leaders in this area through “innovation from a single source”, and will also secure more than 22,500 high-tech jobs in the Cluster regions on a long-term basis.

The higher-ranking priorities of the Software-Cluster are:

• Cooperative research, development, evaluation and the international exploitation and marketing of emergent software solutions for digital companies in an Internet society
• Improvement of the basic conditions for the software industry in the Cluster regions. For example, via the utilization of shared, application oriented training courses, the recruitment of specialists and managers and the foundation of additional, innovative software companies
• Development of the Software-Cluster into an internationally visible, globally leading cluster and growth pole for the software industry, which attracts, creates and secures high-quality jobs.
• Formation of a “Brand” for emergent software for the digital company, which stands for innovation and quality in the business software area, which provides companies in the Software-Cluster with optimal international market chances, and which offers the best possible employment opportunities to graduates from companies in the Software-Cluster

The development and utilization of complementary innovations in this area provides members of the Cluster with a competitive advantage, vis-à-vis conventionally organized, static software solutions for companies. The implementation of these objectives demands a great deal of shared effort and cross-company cooperation within the Cluster.
