Software-Cluster
Strong partners from the business and science sectors
In addition to more than 350 small and medium sized companies, the three largest German business software manufacturers (IDS Scheer AG, SAP AG and Software AG) are also represented in the Software-Cluster. These companies have already been organized into four regional clusters:
- Software-Cluster Rhein Main Neckar / IT4Work in Southern Hesse
- Software Technology Initiative (STI e.V.) in the region Westpfalz
- It.saarland in Saarland
- CyberForum e.V. in the technology region Karlsruhe
The Software-Cluster also benefits from the expertise in research, developement and teaching provided by leading information technology research centers and renowned information technology faculties.
The cluster involves four universities, among them the Technische Universität Darmstadt, represented by CASED, the University of Kaiserslautern, the University of Karlsruhe and the Saarland University aswell as five Universities of applied sciences, two Max-Planck institutes, five Fraunhofer institutes and two research sites of the DFKI -German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence.
The Software-Cluster is coordinated by Gino Brunetti, executive manager of the Software-Cluster Head Office at CASED.
