Additional qualification Certificate of IT Security
Students
Students who started the master program at TU Darmstadt before summer term 2010 may qualify for the Certificate of IT Security.
From summer term 2010 TU Darmstadt offers the Master of Science in IT Security.
This degree course covers all areas relevant to IT security in computer science, like operating systems, software-engineering, database systems or networks. This degree course is intended for all students wishing to aquire a proof regarding their knowledge of IT security matters. Certificate of IT Security
The Certificate of IT Security gives students who started the master program at TU Darmstadt before summer term 2010 the opportunity to prove their skills in that area of study. The Certificate of IT Security is offered by CASED in cooperation with CAST e. V. No preliminary registration is required, i.e. after all conditions are met the Certificate of IT Security may be applied for as described below.

Now the application form for the Certificate of IT Security is available online However, if preferred you may still apply for the Certificate of IT Security by ordinary mail.
For the Certificate of IT Security achievements within Bachelor and Master programs of the Computer Science Department (FB 20) which are reported to the registrar´s office may be certified by the registrar´s office. For this purpose we kindly ask you to use the form below (i.e. a form for students of information technology, proving achievements for the Certificate of IT Security within the Computer Science Department). We ask you to hand this proof in personally to the Computer Science Department.
For the recognition of achievements within a Diploma program and of achievements outside of the Department of Computer Science (e.g. achievements within Department 1) and for students of other Departments (e.g. business informatics) the following form is applicable Application for a marked certificate
Spaces which you need to fill in are highlighted grey. If you wish to replace two contact hours of compulsory electives with CAST-workshops, please fill in the relevant spaces. Otherwise just leave them open
Fees
The issuing of the Certificate of IT Security is free of charge.
