Activities

Please find a list of activities which count towards the Certificate of IT Security here.

The following activities are offered:

  • „Trusted Systems” or “IT Security” (from summer term 2006) or “IT Security 1” (to and with winter term 2005/2006). Important: Because of the similar content, only one of the lectures - either Trusted Systems or one of the IT-Security lectures (IT-Sicherheit/IT-Sicherheit 1) - will be accredited for the certificate.

“Trusted Systems“ and “IT Security“ may count towards the Certificate of IT security from summer term 2006 (for a Master) or previous IT security activities. All other lectures are compulsory electives.

In individual cases external internships and relevant practically-oriented degree dissertation (diploma) may count towards the internship required. Also a seminar may be replaced by a relevant diploma thesis if that work has been accepted as substitution for internship. The acceptance is at the discretion of the Managing Director of CASED.

Since summer term 2003 (SS 2003 ) for each term all activities relevant for the Certificate of IT Security are listed in an event calendar which is decided upon by CASED. Events which took place before summer term 2003 may be accepted individually.
