    Wie werden personenbezogene Daten auf Smartcards in den USA behandelt? Welche Authentisierungsprotokolle nutzen intelligente Karten in Frankreich? Diese und andere Fragen diskutieren Experten aus Industrie und Wissenschaft auf dem SmartCard-Workshop des Fraunhofer SIT am 8. und 9. Februar 2012.

    Im neuen Themenblock „Authentication & Privacy“ werden die unterschiedlichen Authentisierungsprotokolle vorgestellt. Ebenfalls neu ist die Session „Post-Issuance-Personalisierung“, hier geht es darum, wie die Funktionen auf Karten nachträglich erweitert werden können, die der Bürger bereits in der Tasche hat. Drei Vertreter aus den Bereichen Telekommunikation, Banken und Gesundheitswesen stellen ihre unterschiedlichen Lösungsansätze vor.

    Auf der 22. Ausgabe des Workshops werden zudem die neuen technologischen Trends in den Bereichen Chipkarten-Hardware, Kryptographie und Standardisierung vorgestellt sowie Kartentests und Smartcards in der mobilen Kommunikation diskutiert.

    Die Teilnahme am Seminar kostet 640  Euro, Frühbucher erhalten bis zum 9. Januar 2012 einen Rabatt von 50 Euro und zahlen nur 590 Euro.

    Wissenschaftler sind aufgefordert, Arbeiten zu allen technischen Aspekten der Public-Key Kryptographie für die PKC 2012 einreichen - die 15te Internationale Konferenz zu Praxis und Theorie in Public-Key Kryptographie. Besonders willkommen sind Arbeiten, die neue Denkmuster, neue Richtungen oder innovative Perspektiven aufzeigen.

    Side-channel analysis (SCA) and implementation attacks have become an important field of research at universities and in the industry. In order to enhance the resistance of cryptographic and security critical implementations within the design phase, constructive attacks and analyzing techniques may serve as a quality metric to optimize the design- and development process. This workshop provides an international platform for researchers, academics, and industry participants to present their work and their current research topics. It is an excellent opportunity to meet experts and to initiate new collaborations and information exchange at a professional level. The workshop will feature both invited presentations and contributed talks.

We aim at bringing together experts from academia and research institutes, industry and government for discussing and investigating problems, challenges and some recent scientific and technological developments in this field. In this context we particularly are interested in the participation of industry representatives.
